When you buy it you will have full rights to the character, you can:

* Resell it (not for a higher price than you bought it for (UNLESS if they have additional art/commissions).
or use it for exchange.
* Change or redesign it to your liking.
* Use it as a sona, etc.

You may NOT:

* Remove the signature.
* Change the species (unless they are alternate forms, it is not allowed to modify directly the adoptable reference).
* Modify the reference sheet or use it as a base.
