This is the third in a series of adoptables themed after carnival foods and cryptids. Sorry for the delay! I was sick with a severe respiratory infection since Thanksgiving, which delayed the release schedule. All that's left is Mothwoman (Mom), who...I'm aiming to drop before the New Year. Then I take a break from adopts for a bit.

So without further ado, let's take a look at Wendi the Wendigo.

Wendi is kind of a tragic character. She's a very sweet, soft-spoken hulking beast of a creature that loves animals and people. However, being a Wendigo comes with certain 'drawbacks' that often leave the good-natured ones to live incredibly lonely and solitary lives. On her 'Nude' sheet, I wrote a blurb about the land a Wendigo chooses to live on is always cursed with undeath. And while there were no corpses on Wendi's land in the carnival, she is a collector of hoax cryptids, which...tend to come to life while she's asleep. It was this curse that allowed Wendi to create the Cryptid Carnival 'Peting Sue' with the more 'people-friendly' critters that her curse raised. The savage or painfully broken hoax creatures, however, often end up in Wendi's diet, which raises another complication.

Being a Wendigo, Wendi eats primarily raw or rotten meat. She can barely eat anything else despite desperately wanting to, as nothing else will relieve her burning hunger. Thankfully, modern living means cut meat can be purchased at a butcher. But her condition also makes for easy, albeit distressing, disposal of the broken and dangerous animals she accidentally brings to life. If her form wasn't scary enough, catching her eating a shrieking, paralyzed alien effigy will chase anyone away, but it's the only way to reliably put down the abominations without them just coming back again.

Wendi also works as a performer, at the request and encouragement of her fellow cryptid family members. She loves to dance and teach her friendlier animals all sorts of tricks that she can work into her performances. She loves ballet, frilly, feminine attire, and flowers. However, plants and clothing tend to rot or decay much faster when in her presence for too long, so she doesn't get to enjoy them as much as she'd like. Her voice is also a bit unnerving to outsiders, always nearly a whisper that sounds like a groaning, distant gale through the trees.

Wendi leads a very lonely, sheltered life. Outside of her animals, and close 'cryptid kin' at the carnival, Wendi yearns to feel normal...or as close to that as she can be. It was those reasons the ringmaster asked her to come with the carnival, and unlike the truly agoraphobic Loch Ness Monster, Wendi was scared but willing to try and put herself out there and make more friends. The one thing she wants more than anything, aside from being a vegetarian, would be someone to truly love her for who and what she is. Someone who can stand her company, and maybe even enjoy it. Will that person be you?

The winner of the auction will receive both character sheets for Wendi, her basic nude variant, as well as the 'Patomimer's Petticoat' sheet featured in the auction. Post payment, I will credit the new owner over the logo tag, and send them both sheets, high res and finalized. The auction will last for a week, starting at a modest 60 dollars, with an instant win at 250 USD. Also, because others have done so, if you want additional outfits made for the character, they cost an additional 20-25 USD, depending on complexity.
