This character is the Mr Nightmare, an immortal being and the embodiment of primal fear.
When encountered, most people fall into a state of paralysis and are unable to move. Those who manage to retain control over their bodies usually attempt to attack him, but a human is incapable of killing him. Each such encounter leaves scars on his body — traces of everyone who has ever tried to defeat him. These marks do not heal and become part of his very essence.
He is neither good nor evil — the Mr Nightmare simply exists, like a natural force.
