✧ Short Story ✧
Nyxira was born in a cold port city where the sea was considered almost a living being. Her father was the captain of a ship, and one day, during a violent storm, he made a deal with something living in the depths. He returned home alive, but a few months later, a daughter was born with pale skin, horns, and eyes the color of murky seawater.

People in the city tried to stay away from her. Strange things were constantly happening around Nyxira: the water in the glasses was shaking by itself, dark silhouettes sometimes appeared in the mirrors, and at night she dreamed of an endless black sea without shores. Her father forbade her to approach the harbor after sunset, but he never explained why.

After his death, Nyxira found old records of the deal and realized that the creature from the depths had never truly let their family go. Instead of running away from it, she went to the sea herself during a storm and voluntarily entered into her own contract with the Bottomless One. Not for the sake of power, but for the sake of answers.

Now she travels along the coasts, gathering knowledge about ancient creatures, sunken temples and cults associated with the sea abyss. The stronger her magic gets, the more often she feels like the ocean is watching her back.
