Astrid is a great goddess of the North, who commands ice and bitter cold. Her nature is dual: she is a half-vampire, though this side of her is rarely revealed. Nothing betrays her vampiric essence—save for the fangs that emerge and the shifting color of her eyes. Astrid most often wields her Divine Spear when the defense of her homeland is at stake. Over the course of her exceptionally long life, she has lost many of those dear to her, and she now leads a largely reclusive existence. Should you find yourself lost in the snowy wastes of the North, you might try to befriend her—or, perhaps, let her feast upon your flesh. It all depends on how much she happens to like you...
