I don't expect a big response, but how about a little experiment with contrasting light?
I can change the color, brightness, and shape of the lighting. The main idea is in the contrast of color, light and shadow.
We can change all background if you wish! It can be some grass and fireflies/butterflies or forest or something else, really.

It will be very cool if you have two warring characters. They may have a fight or they may be rivals. They're supposed to be boys, but I don't think the gender is too important - the shape of the body allows for gender neutrality.

This is not a classic pony style, but it is also part of the experiment - you can look at your characters with thin legs and more realism.

Any pony race, any hairstyle, any expression. You know - anything you want.

Lineart is traditional but this does not affect the quality of the drawing (I hope so. Just look at portfolio). Or I can try digital lineart but it will take more time.
