Species info:
Fluuns are a race of usually small lagomorph creatures who usually live in dense forests. They are actually part plant!
The soft tufts that grow on their body are a type of moss that will become wet and mushy when the fluun's health is bad.
Unseen on the picture is a row of them following the spine.
The jewel-like thing in the center of a fluun's forehead is actually hardened blood! Fluuns have sap-like blood that regenerates with time, and the excess is pushed through a tiny pin hole on the forehead, where it hardens. Damaging the "jewel" might cause fatal blood loss, as their blood becomes thinner with age and wouldn't dry as fast.
The moss balls are slightly luminescent, which helps them navigate in the dark.
