The Right Words

Far in the back of the archives, a dusty data-booth glowed flickering green. A stallion sat at its desk, hoof flicking the air a few inches in front of the hovering screen he was reading from. Log entries from the freighter he had been trying to hunt down rushed past. This job had been sitting on the bounty board for months; no one could get any solid leads on the group that was smuggling some new tech to the colonies.

But several very risky investigations had paid off, and now he had this, the log of one of their ships, backed up before it was sanitized. Somewhere in here was the info he needed, buried in all the mundane details.

He skipped ahead.

Underway. Course will be-

No, nothing unusual here. He read on...

:4/23/73 14:30:10

Picked up cargo:

-250 Food Paste (Green)
-2k Ball-bearings
-100 IC chips, part #21435-AC
-700 Flex Chairs

The stallion read on for several minutes, eyes starting to glaze. Nothing interesting at all.
Was this a bust?

:6/11/73 9:28:47

Captain's Note: Steering issue has finally resolved, so I should make this run on time after all. Be sure to relax. Now if only I could get deck 3 working again. Nice and easy. All this tech and we can't fix LIGHTS without some crazy bullshit. Yes, you. They can kiss my ass if they think I'm stumbling around cargo in the dark again. You can see it now, can't you? Had my fill of that last run. Just keep reading. I'll stick to the decks I can see, thanks.

The stallion blinked, feeling heavy suddenly. His eyes caught the next entry-

:99/99/99 99:99:99

As the stallion read on he wondered why the log entry was talking about him. He tried to stop and think about this, only to realize he couldn't. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't stop reading the text. He could feel the warmth of another body behind him, but he couldn't turn. He could feel a hoof on his head, pressing him down against the desk and forward, closer to the words, but he couldn't pull away from it. He could feel the cock enter him, slick and hard, but he couldn't move an inch as it sank in, all the way to the base.
