🏕️ The morning air is cool and startlingly clear, almost ringing in your lungs. Sunlight slips through the leaves and cuts a thin golden line across the canvas of your tent. Yesterday’s miles still linger in your hooves – a low, pleasant thrum beneath the skin.

You push aside the thick wool of your bedroll and lean toward to look over the camp.

The fire has sunk into embers, red and patient. A ribbon of smoke curls upward, carrying the promise of coffee – dark, bitter, brewed in a soot-marked kettle over coals that refused to die in the night. The forest shifts. Branches creak. Somewhere, something small scurries through the underbrush.

You breathe in once, deep and slow.

Then you rise.

The road is waiting.
