The origin of these chaotic little rascals traces back to a brilliantly absent-minded archmage whose intellect was only matched by a total inability to remember where items were placed. Tasked with safeguarding a sacred clutch of dormant dragon eggs, the wizard instead used the warm nesting mound as a makeshift shelf for dangerous clutter: bubbling tubs of unrefined alchemical ooze, half-eaten enchanted fey fruits, humming rift crystals leaking raw elemental static, and unstable demonic jars. When the shells finally cracked, out tumbled the Draco-Kobolds—sponge-like opportunists that soaked up every bit of ambient weirdness around them. The magical cross-contamination went completely off the rails: some grew sleek, armored scales, others sprouted patchy soft tufts, and several hatched into ridiculously plush, fully fluffy furry critters who sneeze literal sparks, toxic bubbles, or glittery stardust. Before anyone could react, the chaotic brood chewed straight through the containment wards, raided the tower pantry, and scattered across the realm.

Their temperaments are just as delightfully unhinged as their magic, with no two rascals behaving the same. You will find spicy, hot-headed scrappers puffing out tiny chests to wage war against boots and brooms over a shiny coin, right beside gentle, purring sweethearts who treat adventuring like a luxury spa day tucked inside a warm coat. Others are incurable master thieves who use wide innocent eyes and twitching fluffy ears to distract you while your favorite daggers vanish, or hyperactive little gremlins whose curiosity defies all self-preservation as they compulsively lick glowing vials, gnaw on forged metals, and trigger accidental elemental fireworks wherever they scamper.
