New Toy
The thing about technology was, it didn't work once it was blown up.
The Merc had seized on this revelation, spinning it up into a very profitable career. DeltaCorp's bottomless need for new resources and research meant they were never content to stay within the shining arcologies or crumbling Auto-Cities. There were research stations scattered all over the continent, holding out like the old extra-planetary colonies in the history recs as the dust storms and caustic rain battered their re-enforced spines. Each one was a treasure trove, a little wonder cave of re-sellable tech and data, and out in the Barrens it wasn't cost-effective to house a full security team on site.
Instead, they relied on three things to keep prying hooves away. First was secrecy. The Merc had his connections. Second was the harsh Barrens themselves. That was solvable with the right transport and keeping an eye on the horizon. Third was a bunch of automated security tech.
That was what the Big Gun was for.
It had done its job well, judging by the smoking turrets and sparking holes in the wall where bio sensors had been moments ago. Now it was leveled at a very large, very thick security door.
The first shot dented it slightly. The second caved it inward, like the smack of some enormous fist.
The third burst it inward energetically, its warped shape hitting the floor with a loud clang. The Merc stepped forward, peering into the dark hallway beyond. A hallway that should have been lit.
Glancing back, the Merc noticed that several of the smoking holes he had left in the wall looked more like power conduits than security hubs. Oops.
Well, no problem. Jumping over the fallen door, he flicked the small light on his vest, heading down the dim corridor. Wasn't much further to the juicy, loot-laden core of this place anyway. Just a little further down here and to the right-
The Merc suddenly realized his front hoof wasn't touching the floor. He reached out, trying to find hoof-hold again, but there was no floor to reach. He looked down to see he was floating, well above where he had been walking a moment ago. A security field that was still active. Shit.
He reached out instinctively for the Big Gun, but it was already gone, floated out of reach by the field and not responding to neuro commands. He flailed angrily, then yelped as a sharp zap of pain raced through him. He could feel his body growing heavy, hard to move as he hovered in space. Shit!
He didn't notice the gag until it was almost in place, forcing his mouth open around it and locking at the back of his neck. He yelled into it in angry surprise. Another zap. He yelled at the pain. ANOTHER zap. He whimpered quietly.
By the time something pressed under his tail, the Merc was utterly helpless. Extra fields had his front and back legs tightly pinned now, and even without them his body could barely do more than twitch. All he could do was try not to make too much noise as the warm, slick metal pressed into him, gently vibrating against some very sensitive spots. A burst of pleasure ran through him, and before he could stop himself the stallion gave a quiet moan into the gag. There was no zap.
Slowly, he felt a strange warmth spread through him, starting from the intruder under his tail and reaching down between his legs, coaxing his length out to hang heavy and hot in the cool air. It worked up his spine, through his chest, into his head. He was panting into the gag now. He felt disoriented, dizzy. Where was the ground?
The sound of hooves against the hard floor brought him back. His eyes snapped down to see a stallion looking up at him. Not security. Tech Ops.
"You're a destructive one aren't you? Looks like you owe DeltaCorp quite the apology."
The Merc tried to snarl a response. The vibe twisted inside him, and all he managed was a surprised groan. The tech laughed.
"It'll be a few days before they can get transport out here though." He tapped a few places on his pad, and the Merc felt himself drifting down, closer to the ground. Closer to the tech.
"Meanwhile-" Closer and closer, lower and lower, until he could see the erection not quite hidden behind the front edge of the tech's flank, thick and heavy.
"It looks like I've got a new toy."
